Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This is a working draft written by the development team. Have it reviewed by a lawyer in your jurisdiction before launch.

What we store about you

Your name, email address, password hash, and anything you choose to add to your profile. Plus the links you create and their settings.

What we store about visitors to your links

For each click: the time, country, city where available, device type, browser, operating system, the referring site, and the language header.

IP addresses are never stored in readable form. They are hashed with a secret value before storage, and that value is rotated regularly. Nobody - including our own administrators - can read a visitor IP address out of the system.

Repeat visitors are recognised through a hash that also mixes in the current date, so the same person cannot be followed from one day to the next.

Referrers

Only the host of a referring page is kept, never the full URL, because full URLs often carry personal information in their query strings.

How long we keep it

Individual click records are deleted after the retention period set by the operator - 180 days by default. Daily totals survive, but they contain no visitor-level data.

Your data, your call

You can export your links and their statistics from Settings at any time, and deleting your account removes your personal data on request and purges the rest after 30 days.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference for your light or dark theme. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
